Walvis Bay to the Orange River:
wind : S to SW 10 to 15 but NW 10 to 20 in the south.
Vis : poor in fog patches.
Sea state: 2 to 2.5m, SSW swell.
Orange River to cape agulhas:
wind : NW 15 to 25, reaching 35 to 45 south of cape Columbine by
Saturday afternoon.
Vis : poor in rain south of cape Columbine.
Sea state: 2.5 to 3.5m, reaching 5 to 8m between cape Columbine and
Cape Agulhas by Saturday afternoon with SW swell.
Cape Agulhas to east london:
wind : N to NE 15 to 25 in the east during the first half of
the period, otherwise W to SW 25 to 35 reaching 45 in
the Cape Agulhas area.
Vis : poor in rain in the west, spreading eastwards by Saturday
night.
Sea state: 3 to 4m, reaching 5 to 8m in the west by Saturday
afternoon, spreading eastwards in the evening with SW
swell.
East London to Maputo:
wind : S to se 10 to 15 in the north at first, otherwise NE 15
to 25 reaching 30 in the south, where it will become W to
SW 15 to 25 by Saturday evening.
Vis : good.
Sea state: 2 to 3m, with SSW swell.
Mozambique channel:
wind : se to E 10 to 15 in the extreme north, otherwise N to
NE 10 to 20 reaching 25 in the South-West by Saturday
afternoon.
Vis : good.
Sea state: 2.5m in the south, SSW swell.
