| Synopsis As Tropical Storm Cristobal lifts northeast just offshore the mid Atlantic coast...high pressure noses westward from Florida into the northern Gulf. Meanwhile...a strong tropical wave over the western Caribbean moves west northwest. This system has the potential to develop into a tropical depression over the next day or two. The tropical wave or low is forecast to move into the southwest Gulf early next week. This system sends increased swell into the coastal waters by late Monday and through the day Tuesday. As the low moves into the Lower Texas or northern Mexican coast Wednesday and Thursday...swell subsides. |
