Synopsis For The Middle Texas Coastal Waters
The combination of deep tropical moisture...a surface trough...and an upper level low pressure system will produce scattered showers and thunderstorms through Thursday. Winds and seas will be higher in and near the heavier showers and stronger storms...otherwise a weak to moderate onshore flow is expected through Thursday. Lingering moisture will lead to a chance for showers and thunderstorms Friday through Sunday. A weak to moderate onshore flow will continue through Saturday...then become a weak offshore flow by Sunday as Tropical Storm Fay moves into the north central Gulf.

Southwest wind 5 to 10 knots becoming southeast 10 to 15 knots in the afternoon. Bays slightly choppy to occasionally choppy in the afternoon. Isolated showers late in the morning...then scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon.

Southeast wind 10 to 15 knots. Bays slightly choppy to occasionally choppy. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms.
Thursday
Southeast wind 10 to 15 knots. Bays slightly choppy to occasionally choppy. A chance of showers and thunderstorms.
Thursday Night
Southeast wind 10 to 15 knots decreasing to 5 to 10 knots after midnight. Bays slightly choppy to occasionally choppy decreasing to smooth after midnight. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after midnight.
