Synopsis For Baffin Bay To Rio Grande Out 60 Nm-
Synopsis
Forecast models indicate not much change for the Lower Texas coastal areas through the upcoming weekend. Light to moderate winds are expected which will keep seas relatively low through Sunday. A slight increase in winds and seas is anticipated to begin late Sunday into Monday as a tropical wave moves west across the Bay of Campeche. Hurricane Ike could emerge into the southeastern Gulf of Mexico via The Straits of Florida late Monday into Tuesday. Larger swells could affect the Lower Texas coastal waters as early as Tuesday into Wednesday. Refer to the National hurricane centers latest forecast track on Hurricane Ike.
