marine weather statement for Labrador issued by Environment Canada at

3:57 a.M. NDT Friday 5 September 2008.



A low pressure system over the Davis Strait will remain nearly

stationary today. Gale force westerly winds near 35 knots will

develop over the northwest Labrador Sea this morning then increase to

northwesterly near 40 knots this afternoon under the influence of the

low. Gale force northwesterly winds near 35 knots will develop over

the east Labrador Sea after midnight.



Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for the

northwest Labrador Sea and the east Labrador Sea.
