Occasional showers with some thunderstorms are forecast for through today with conditions drying out for the weekend. |

* until 445 PM EST
* at 309 PM EST... National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated a
line of thunderstorms... capable of producing strong winds of 34
knots or greater from 10 nm east of Surfside to 28 nm west of
Convoy Point... from 10 nm east of Surfside to 15 nm east of Big
Lostmans Bay... moving east at 30 knots.
* These strong thunderstorms will also affect
Virginia Key...
Coral Gables...
Cape Florida...
Convoy Point...
Soldier Key...
and surrounding coastal areas.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
As thunderstorms move over the water... severe gusty winds in excess
of 50 knots are possible along with high waves... dangerous
