northerly quarter winds 15/25 knots, increasing 25/33 knots within 120nm of
warning area. Moderate to rough seas. Low swell tending moderate south of 40s.
Remainder west of Tasman Sea low/trough and outside warning areas:
westerly quarter winds 15/25 knots, increasing to 25/33 knots within 120 nm of
warning areas. Moderate to rough seas and low to moderate swell.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms within 240 nm of Tasman Sea low/trough
reducing visibility to less than 2 nm. Isolated showers elsewhere south of 40s
tending scattered near front reducing visibility to less than 3 nm.
Icebergs were sighted approximately 280km se of Auckland island on 18 November
2009 drifting slowly but exact movement not known. Berg estimated at 500-800m in
length.
