Synopsis
A strong area of high pressure over the southeastern states and a broad area of low pressure over the southern Gulf of Mexico will continue to bring increasing winds and seas to the coastal waters through Sunday. Tropical Storm Ida is then expected to move into the southern Gulf of Mexico Sunday night into Monday morning. The tropical system is expected to pull into the central Gulf of Mexico by Monday night before shifting toward the eastern Gulf of Mexico as an extratropical low Tuesday into Wednesday. East winds 20 to 25 knots. Seas 6 to 8 feet building to 7 to 10 feet in the afternoon. Protected waters very rough. Slight chance of showers in the afternoon.

East winds 25 to 30 knots with gusts to near 45 knots. Seas 7 to 10 feet increasing to 8 to 12 feet after midnight. Protected waters extremely rough. Chance of showers and slight chance of thunderstorms.
