NWS Forecaster Discussion
739 fxus64 kewx 052019 afdewx Area forecast discussion National Weather Service Austin/San Antonio Texas 319 PM CDT Sat Jul 5 2008 Discussion... scattered convection firing again with heating on the periphery of the weak over low over deep S Texas/NE Mexico. The line of scattered showers/isolated thunderstorms over the southern County Warning Area will spread northward across the northern County Warning Area the remainder of the afternoon and then dissipate this evening. There will continue to be isolated showers overnight across the S-southwestern County Warning Area closer to the weak upper level circulation and have left slight chance probability of precipitation in after midnight. Little change for Sunday and into much of next week as a deep southeasterly tropical flow continues into S Texas around the west side of the subtropical ridge. Therefore continued chance probability of precipitation over the southern and southwestern County Warning Area with only slight chances over the northestern counties. Rain chances will diminish toward the late week/weekend as the upper ridge builds into central Gulf/East Texas-la and we return to more typical hot and dry July weather. && Preliminary point temps/pops...
