Previous discussion... /issued 444 am CDT sun Jul 6 2008/

Short term...
temperatures have dropped into the lower 70s most locations this am under
clear skies and light winds. Currently the radar is quiet with no
echoes observed and the closest frontal boundary over northern
Arkansas.

Today will see high pressure again become established over the
region. What this will mean is less shower activity and cloud
cover and temperatures a tad bit warmer than yesterday's. Southerly winds
will continue around high pressure to our east through the week.
Monday will look like todays weather with limited afternoon shower
development.

The next best shot at precipitation looks to be on Tuesday into Wednesday
as a weakness will develop aloft allowing for thunderstorms to
build during the afternoon heating.

Long term...
dry weather to return on Thursday into Friday and the weekend
next week. The area still remains behind on rainfall and
conditions do not look to improve.

Aviation...
some patchy ground fog this am otherwise mostly clear skies and a
clean radar.
