we have a break in the hot and dry weather coming up this week. 
First of all...we will have another hot and humid day today...with 
little or no chance of rainfall. We have raised the temperatures a 
few degrees today at a number of weather sites across North Texas. 
However...we are not expecting 100 degree temperatures. 


We are not expecting rainfall today...but moist air will continue 
to move across the area from the Gulf. A disturbance will move 
into the southern portions of Texas early in the coming 
week...on Monday and Tuesday. This system will result in scattered 
showers and thunderstorms in the south...with a few thunderstorms 
making their way northward into southern North Texas. 


Then...on Wednesday...a cool front gradually make its way 
southward across the Red River...resulting in some shower and 
thunderstorm activity Wednesday and Thursday across North Texas. 
We don't see much of a threat of severe weather...although there 
could be a few wet downbursts. In the strongest storms. 
Temperatures will cool down a few degrees as the front lingers. 


The rain chances will last through Thursday. At that time the 
weakening remnants of the front will give way to total 
dissipation. 


And...that will result in a warming trend next Friday and 
Saturday. Furthermore...an upper level heat ridge is forecasted by 
the models to form across North Texas...bringing the hot weather 
back into North Texas. #26
