No concerns...VFR through taf period. 


Shear axis over Texas clearly evident on WV imagery...though is 
producing little in the way of clouds. Feature is most pronounced in 
upper levels...but can be found as low as 700mb near Big Bend. Aside 
from potential for cirrus...will be of little consequence. 


Persistence forecast...S/SSW winds will back to southeast by middle-afternoon 
as mixing depth reaches 9-10kft. Winds will once again veer within 
nocturnal boundary layer by late evening. Cumulus will develop by 
midday...4-5kft lifting with mixing to 8-9kft by late afternoon. 25

Hot and mostly-rain free weather is expected to continue for the 
next several days as a upper ridge dominates the weather across 
North Texas. About the only area that may see some rain will be 
the southeastern zones where some isolated showers and thunderstorms 
are possible this afternoon and evening and again on Tuesday. The 
big weather story later in the week will be what happens with the 
strong tropical wave that is currently in the western Caribbean. 
This system/S development and track may bring some increased 
moisture and along with that...a chance of showers and thunderstorms 
to North Texas. The GFS and the ecwmf both move this system northwest 
or west northwest to near the Texas/Mexico border on Wednesday. 
Have kept a chance of showers and thunderstorms Wednesday across 
the southeastern half of the forecast area...and slight chance to 
chance probability of precipitation for the southeastern 2/3s for Thursday and Friday. #58
