regional weather discussion... Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms continue to develop across south central and southeast Oklahoma and portions of western North Texas. Through 3 PM... the showers and thunderstorms will move north and northwest... affecting areas south of a Holdenville... to Sulphur...to Waurika... to Wichita Falls and Seymour line. The strongest activity will move across areas from Coalgate and Atoka southwest to Tishomingo... to Durant... to Lake Texoma and Marietta. Rainfall amounts of between a tenth and a quarter of an inch will be likely with isolated amounts of over half an inch possible. The showers and thunderstorms are in association with an upper level low moving slowly eastward across North Texas. The best chances for rain into the early part of the afternoon hours will remain across central and southern Oklahoma and parts of western North Texas as the low continues to progress slowly eastward. With afternoon heating additional showers and isolated thunderstorms will be possible across much of the area.

Update...
upper low continue to move slowly eastward across north central Texas
this morning. However... have not seen the heavier or more
widespread precipitation that was anticipated. Will therefore go ahead
and cancel the Flash Flood Watch for southeast Oklahoma. Still
appears that some heating will lead to development of scattered
showers and perhaps a few thunderstorms today... but do not expect
excessive rainfall to be an issue today. Made only minor tweaks to
other grids for today. Updates out shortly.

Update...
bothersome Twist on radar loops centered over S OK between Ardmore
and Durant prompts US to extend the Flash Flood Watch through
noon. Current radar trends and increasing radar-based rainfall
rates bear resemblance to several similar events over the last
couple days/nights which led to local 4-8 inch totals over a short
time. 24
