Discussion... 
weak upper high has moved east into the High Plains and will continue east 
over the area today... before moving into the lower MS valley 
Monday. Seasonably hot/dry conditions to continue with moderate S-SW 
winds. Upper trough now entering the west states continues east and 
becomes a weakness or break in the subtropical ridge over the High 
Plains on Tuesday. Axis of this weakness will tilt from north-S to more 
east-west with time as the north part drifts east across Kansas/MO while the S part 
remains anchored over nm or drifts west toward Southeast Arizona. Surface front 
likewise will move slowly southeast across Nebraska/Kansas and is forecast to move 
into north OK by late Tuesday. Front will likely have to rely on convective 
reinforcement to move much farther S Wednesday-Thursday as ridging aloft holds 
position across North Texas. That is quite possible if not likely... and as 
such we will maintain the trends of previous forecasts by keeping 
storm chances north Tuesday and areawide Wed-Thu... along with a modest drop 
in temperatures. Hot and dry conditions return Friday into next weekend as 
an upper high builds near the Gulf Coast and begins drifting west 
toward East Texas in a week or so.
