Upper ridge to west building in, with surface to southeast a distant memory. Some dry and cool advection going on in the bounday layer. Have lowered temperatures a degree or two under guidance because of slightly drier air than modeled. Probability of precipitation near zero, hence no weather expected at this time. Long term...(saturday night through friday)...generally dry weather with near seasonal temperatures still in the offing through at least the middle of next week. Confidence remains low from the middle of the week on however as medium range models remain in relatively poor agreement. European model has consistently kept storm track well south of our forecast area. The GFS has begun to trend toward that solution...but continues to bring series of upper disturbances through the southern appalachian region by Wednesday. Spread among ensemble members remains worse than normal and precludes much help. Thus tended to not make any major changes to preceding grids/forecast. && Preliminary point temps/pops...
