Discussion (tonight through thursday)... 


Finally the cold front has pushed south of the County Warning Area...with only a 
couple of sprinkles remaining across the far southern County Warning Area. This will 
continue to push south...so will remove all precipitation wording as high 
pressure sinks southward. However...speed maximum diving southeastward from the 
Dakotas is generating some enhanced cumulus across the Iowa/Illinois border. 
Think that the deep moisture is lacking too much behind the front 
for that to generate any showers...but may beef up cloud cover over 
the northwestern County Warning Area through midnight. 


Otherwise...pleasant and clear conditions should dominate Friday 
through the weekend under a coolish northwest flow. Temperatures will be 
below normal...with lower humidities as well. Very nice conditions 
for Summer. 


The next best chance of rain will come early next week 
(monday-wednesday) as a large upper low develops over the Great 
Lakes and tracks a low pressure system across the middle-MS valley 
region. But have lower chance probability of precipitation given the discrepancies between the 
GFS...Euro and ensembles. 


Aviation (00z tafs)... 


VFR conditions will prevail until the early morning hours when fog 
is expected to form at cgi and br at pah. Drier air filtering into 
the evv area already and lack of rain there should preclude any 
fog/br at evv so will keep evv VFR. A few showers were developing 
near stl and moving southward toward the forecast area...however 
these were mainly dissipating as the tracked south. Do not 
anticipate any showers to affect taf sites this evening or through 
the overnight hours.
