upper ridge over the southern states keeping showers associated 
with a middle level shear axis well ot our northeast today. Some 
moderate cumulus build-up over the higher terrain of far southeast OK 
and may see an isolated shower or storm late this afternoon with 
coverage insufficient to include in forecast. Expect this trend 
to persist for a few days with temperatures inching up closer to the 
century mark...though most areas will stay just below. Effects of 
moist soil should be on the wane at this point...however the mav 
temperatures still a little too warm and went with a mav/met blend for 
highs and close to mav lows through Monday. 


Weak frontal boundary will push closer by Tuesday but is not 
likely to bring any rainfall this far southwest. The retrogression 
of upper ridge by this time will knock a couple of degrees off the 
heat and may also bring increasing probability of diurnal 
convection later in the week. 12z GFS and European model (ecmwf) pointing to even 
hotter weather by next weekend.
