Update...aviation discussion.

Discussion...tonight and tomorrow. 


Radar trends are finally diminishing somewhat across central Alabama 
this evening. A large outflow boundary that likely originated this 
morning with the convection across southern Alabama...continues to 
travel northward through Alabama. As of 10 PM...the outflow was near 
a Winfield...to Birmingham...to Anniston line. Scattered showers and 
thunderstorms have been developing along and ahead of that line. 
Will keep scattered thunderstorms in the forecast through 1 
am...generally south of this line and isolated storms north of this 
line as well. After 1 am...will go with just slight chance of 
thunderstorms south of a Tuscaloosa to Alexander City line. This 
area has already been worked over quite well...so persistent 
activity is not anticipated. Have also added patchy fog for all 
areas for the early morning hours. 


Drier air will push into the area late tonight and tomorrow 
morning...limiting thunderstorm chances to the far southern 
counties. Updates have been sent.

Aviation...06z taf discussion. 


Shower and thunderstorm activity eventually spread a bit more (and a 
bit farther north) than originally expected Wednesday evening. 
Conditions have calmed down...and only isolated showers remained at 
05z. These showers are also expected to dissipate...leaving some 
remnant middle layer clouds (around 8k feet) through the overnight 
hours. Will include a bit more light fog (3-5 miles) in a few more 
spots than previously forecast...due to the moistening affect of the 
day's rain. 


Still don't expect the convection to be near as widespread across 
central Alabama Thursday afternoon...and will only forecast 
afternoon cumulus (with no precip) at this time.
